TOGIAK SCOUT
Inspired by the Alaskan wilderness, the Togiak field watch is named for the four-million-acre Togiak National Wildlife Refuge and Wilderness Area, home to some of the most pristine and expansive back country terrain in North America. Bordered by the impressive Ahklun Mountains to the north, this vast territory is laced with rivers and dotted with glacial lakes begging to be fished, paddled and explored. Featuring a 316L stainless steel case and bracelet, automatic movement with day/date functions, screw-down caseback and crown, sapphire crystal, clear, legible dial and 100 meters of water resistance, the Togiak Scout will tackle any jungle―wild, urban or otherwise―with rugged aplomb.
Available in three colors, the Togiak Scout also includes the NS2 Nylon Strap―an excellent option for comfort and adjustability in any situation. With a standard 20mm lug width, the Togiak Scout can be fitted with limitless aftermarket straps, including our own NS1 and NS3 nylon straps or RS1 and RS2 rubber straps.

A NOTE ABOUT TESTING:
Unlike our dive watches, the Togiak Scout does not bear the "Diver's" watch designation. The primary reason for this is that the Scout lacks a dive-time indicator (such as a unidirectional rotating bezel), which is a key ISO 6425 requirement for any "Diver's" watch. A second reason is that most "Diver's" watches are rated for a depth of 150m or greater, while the Scout, a field watch, is only rated to 100m. However, this doesn't mean the Scout hasn't been tested. In our opinion, a field watch should withstand abuse as well as a dive watch. So, even though this model doesn't bear the "Diver's" designation, every individual watch is tested in water at 100% of its rated depth (100m) for two hours. In addition, a portion of each production batch is subjected to the remaining battery of ISO 6425 tests, to ensure magnetic resistance, shock resistance, salt water resistance, thermal shock resistance, reliability under water and strap durability. |
